House Chevrolet - Over 100 Years Serving Minnesota
Since 1923, House Auto Group has been a family-owned and operated business, making it one of the oldest family-owned businesses in the state of MN. Four generations of the House family have operated House Auto Group in the 100 years the business has served MN.
Our story begins in 1921 when our founder, Everett "Ed" House, opened an auto mechanic shop in Stewartville, MN. Two years later, in 1923, Mr. House began selling automobiles as an agent for Durant Motors. Our journey continued in 1929 when Ed House became a Chevrolet dealer, the beginning of our long-standing relationship with General Motors.
Mr. Ed House passed the business down to his son Robert House in 1964. Mr. Robert House oversaw the construction of a new complex for House Chevrolet, complete with a beautiful showroom for new cars, a high-tech service department, and ample office space. The new building opened in 1971 on S Main St. in Stewartville, where it continues to operate today.
Over the years, we have expanded to two other locations: House Chevrolet Buick Cadillac in Owatonna, MN, and House Chevrolet Stewartville Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Stewartville, MN. Today, House Auto Group remains a leading provider of new and used vehicles in the state of MN.
Mr. Greg House, the son of Robert House and grandson of Ed House, now serves as the President of House Auto Group. Greg's wife Julie House and son Jason House serve as Vice-Presidents of House Auto Group. Four generations of the House family have operated House Auto Group over the last 100 years, and we pride ourselves on our commitment to providing excellent service to our customers.
